'Hoptober Pressed' Beer Themed Poster Show at Porridge Papers (Lincoln)

We are closing out our summer season of First Fridays with an amazing show!

Local Artists have created beer themed art to be sold that evening. Each piece will be letterpress printed on our small batch, handcrafted beer paper. The paper will be made with the finest quality spent grain from an Octoberfest Lager brewed here in Lincoln by Modern Monks Brewery. 

In addition to the art, we will be serving beer brats boiled in the same Oktoberfest Beer that the paper was made from as well as sampling the Monks 

Octoberfest lager. The Bolzen Beer Band will be filling the studio with their beer themed party punk polka. We will also have letterpressed beer towels for sale and we will be doing live letterpress t-shirt printing!

Porridge Papers’ goal is to give artists a space to sell their art without giving up part of their hard-earned cash in commission fees. Profits from prints sold will go to the artists themselves and to keep the good times a-flowin’ at future first friday events.

We want to give a special shout out to Modern Monks, Bolzen Beer Band, and Cetaks Gourmet Meats and all the artists that are participating!
