AHA Learn to Homebrew Day Events in Nebraska

With the smell of winter air also comes the smell of boiling wort.  For many,  homebrewing season just opened in Nebraska, and if you don't already have the know-how to make your own brew, this is your chance.

Since 1999, the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) has chosen the first Saturday in November as "Learn to Homebrew Day".  Homebrew clubs and homebrew supply shops across the nation have taken upon themselves, with the support of the AHA, to host demonstrations geared towards new and potential homebrewers.  The events are also a chance to meet and socialize with the local homebrewing community.

To most potential brewers, the process can seem daunting.  There is a science component, a culinary component, an artistic component and a magic component.  The good news is that it's really not that hard to start making great beer from the beginning.  Even better, the homebrewing community is filled with knowledgeable brewers who are more than welcoming to help the new brewers get through their maiden voyage.  If you are reading this blog, chances are you are already a beer lover, but there is nothing quite like sitting back to enjoy your very own delicious creation.

"There will also be an introduction level all extract brewing demo and Homebrew Equipment Swap Meet at the Omaha event. Whether your looking to get into the hobby, upgrade your equipment, or just have some extra gear collecting dust you'd like to sell this will be a great opportunity to do all these things."
