Mikkeller 1000 IBU Tapping @ Bricktop

This Friday is the tapping of the controversial Mikkeller 1000 IBU Double IPA. One of only a few kegs making it into the states, the beer theoretically was brewed with 1000 International bittering units (10 kilograms of simcoe-pellets per 1000 liters beer), and weighs in at 9.6% abv. An excerpt from the Mikkeller website reads "believe it or not – this beer is actually very well balanced. Residual sweetness contrasts nicely with the bitterness from hop and the result is a beer, that is much easier to drink than what you would assume."

No matter how you feel about it, this is a special and very limited offering from one of Europe's innovative craft beer pioneers. This is going to be a blast, and we will get it started 4pm as usual!
