Nebraska Brewing Distributing to Oregon

Here is the press release.  I would love to hear from anyone from Oregon.  This is pretty cool that a Nebraska Beer is getting sent to Oregon.  The guys at Nebraska Brewing are going to need a bigger place soon.

Nebraska Brewing Company Begins Distribution to Oregon
World Class in Every Glass
(Papillion, NE) – Nebraska Brewing Company has signed a distribution agreement with Point Blank Distributing of Portland, OR. On and off premise retailers in the State of Oregon are now able to order and serve Nebraska Brewing Company’s product suite of draft and bottled Reserve Series Craft Beers.

Paul Kavulak, President of Nebraska Brewing Company stated: “We’re thrilled to have a presence on the West Coast and an entry into the Oregon market places our products among some of the Nation’s finest.” Additionally, “The Oregon Craft Beer Market is very mature and appears well suited to some of our more complex beers.”

Distribution will begin in approximately late-May and will launch with one of its Reserve Series Beers, Mélange a Trois. Initially, seasonal shipments of Reserve Series Beers will comprise the extent of the product list on the West Coast with the possibility of additional draft beers at a later date. A list of Nebraska Brewing Company brands can be found at www.nebraskabrewingco.com

Building on a reputation for quality, flavor, and creativity – Nebraska Brewing Company strives to be a stand-out in an ever growing field.

I am a nebraska native and a restaurant owner in oregon that uses point blank dist.

I recommend that the Nebraska Brewing Co. allocate samples as their original marketing package because it is going to be hard to get most people who own on premise sales establishments (bars, restaurants, etc) in the state of Oregon to even think about buying on blind faith an unknown beer from someplace they have driven through once. I don't question the quality of their product, I just know what they are up against and sampling is how you get into these places. I am watching Goose Island struggle a bit out here to get a hold. i carry the Matilda in the bottle and it sells "ok" but it is also 4.25 for 12oz and I move a fair amount for that price range. Although I still see their Christmas bombers on the shelves in markets and beer stores.

The two breweries that are hot hot hot right now out here are Ninkasi (Eugene) and HUB (Hopworks Urban Brewing, Portland).

Hope this helps.
