Weyerbacher Double Tapping @ Bricktop

Friday will be a double tapping party for two delicious beers from Weyerbacher.

First off is the limited release of 'Lima', a hop forward Black IPA. Brewery description: "Lima is up next and no, we did not make a lima bean beer or anything inspired by the Peruvian capital city. We made a relatively new style (new to GABF) called an “American-Style India Black Ale”. The name is pretty self explanatory, but you’ve already had a beer or two so I’ll explain. It is like taking a traditional IPA and adding dark malts which add color and a moderate roasty character. It is still in the tank as I type, but we have added nearly 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel making this beer as sticky as any we have ever made. It should end up being around 6.3% ABV and will tip the IBU scale at around 70."

The second beer is a welcome seasonal, proof that our steaming hot summer is coming to an end, and great fall weather is upon us. Imperial Pumpkin Ale is a delectable toast to the change of seasons. Brewery description: "Brewed with Pumpkin and Spices(Cinnamon,Nutmeg,Cardamom,Cloves). This 8.0% ABV pumpkin ale is heartier, spicier, and more caramelly and pumpkiny than its faint brethren! Perfect finisher on a cool autumn night, or match it up with a slice of pumpkin pie and fresh whipped cream. If you don't agree this is the mother of all pumpkin ales, then you just don't like mothers!"
