Jake's Friday Tapping Parties/Lincoln: Upstream Reserve Doppelbock/Omaha: Oak Aged Yeti
LINCOLN JAKE'S: This Friday we will be tapping a reserve keg from Upstream. Brewed last winter, Decimator Doppelbock has had ample time to age to perfection. Brewery description- "Doppelbock is a Bavarian specialty beer first brewed in Munich by the monks of St. Francis of Paula (it was considered "liquid bread" by the monks). The term "doppel (double) bock" was coined by Munich consumers. Decimator Doppelbock is a medium-full body lager that has a very strong malty & toasty aroma. To taste Decimator Doppelbock has a light caramel undertone with a very slight chocolate-like flavor due to a three hour boil (one and a half hours longer than a normal boil). Virtually no hop aroma or bitterness is present in this lager which leaves this a very smooth dark lager with lots of character. Be careful and don't let the 9% ABV (Alcohol by Volume) decimate you."

OMAHA JAKES: Tis the season this Friday for delicious Imperial Stout. Great Divide has been creating some of our favorite big stouts for quite a while now, and Oak Aged Yeti is no exception with a perfect 100 rating on RateBeer. Brewery description- "Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs)."
5:30 pm Jake's Omaha (62nd & Maple)

Good thing I like the Oak Aged Yeti better so I can head to Omaha and avoind the black lung of Jakes.
Wow, the smoke jokes never get old...
